They will make drawing studies and investigations into these using a variety of media from which to develop their own unique design for a building inspired by the Architectural styles studied. The final outcome will be created in card relief combining areas of collage and mark-making for decoration. |
Project 2Google:
In this project students are asked to design a new Google logo the celebrate a specific event or occasion. they will study logo design to formulate knowledge on what makes a good logo before they make some visual research on the theme of their Google logo (The focus of this brief changes from year to year) before creating the final design. Students will be refining skills with pencil crayon and watercolour throughout this project. |
Project 3Kandinsky Vases:
This project allows learners to explore the colourful and expressive work of Kandinsky and combine it with ceramics. Students will study the work of Kandinsky, learn about abstraction by creating images from music and the simplification of objects into basic shapes, then develop this knowledge into design work for a ceramic tile or vase. |
